You are extremely responsible and are tired of feeling like it’s not enough

You feel more “on edge”, or “short” lately
You try to make others happy instead of yourself
It feels like your past just keeps catching up with you
Does any of this sound familiar?
Counseling for when you feel a loss of connection to yourself and others.
You thought you had found some ways to cope and get through the day. But your inner voice keeps telling you that you need to do more and be better. And no matter what you do, it still doesn’t feel like enough. You’re tired of feeling bad about yourself. It’s exhausting to mask and pretend to be fine when you aren’t. You’re losing trust in yourself and your intuition. You overthink and second guess everything.
Clients who see me are conscientious and hard working. And more often than not, they are very hard on themselves. They frequently don’t acknowledge or see their strength and resilience.
Unresolved trauma and anxiety often affect them more than they let on. Shame, guilt and self-criticism become the norm. It feels like the past is repeating itself with no end in sight.
Before reaching out, you might be wondering if it will be worth it. You are worth it!
What I know is that trauma and anxiety can leave you feeling stuck and unworthy, full of self-limiting beliefs. You don’t have to keep struggling while acting like you’re fine.
When you’re ready, schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
How I Work - The Internal Family Systems (IFS) Approach
I work from an IFS lens. I help people connect with their core self and all parts of themselves. Through parts work you get to know and understand more clearly all of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and find your natural capacity for clarity, confidence and compassion. I have found IFS to be the most effective and common-sense way of healing. IFS is an evidence-based approach that is used for trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and more. It is non-pathologizing and allows healing in more curious and compassionate way.
IFS recognizes that we all have different parts inside ourselves, with many different voices, thoughts and feelings. Each individual has the inner resources to heal deep emotional wounds, and gain insight into their emotions and behaviors while building healthier connections with others.
Through IFS you will build a relationship with parts of yourself that may be causing anxiety, self-criticism or people-pleasing. You help them to transform through your connection as a naturally compassionate self. You create more internal balance and harmony which helps parts to do the same externally.
Who This Work Is a Good Fit For
I work with people struggling with anxiety and trauma of all kinds. Maybe you are tired of your past pulling you in or feeling it is too scary to look into the future. Potentially you feel ready to start living a more present life and let go of the stuck patterns you find yourself in. If you are ready to reconnect with your inner knowing and find your authentic self you are in the right place. While building a new relationship with yourself isn’t always easy work, it is incredibly rewarding.
When This May Not Be the Right Fit
This isn’t the right fit if you’re in acute psychiatric crisis and need that level of support, if you need insurance-based care, or if you want couples therapy, or are looking for in-person therapy. I work with adults only.
